Co-Chairs Selected For 2022-23 United Way Campaign

Officials from the United Way of the Pennyrile revealed Tuesday their co-chairs for the 2022-23 campaign, tabbing Whitney Stewart and Lucas Stagner for the honorable task.

Stewart is a Hopkinsville native and a commercial lines account manager for Higgins Insurance. She’s a member of the Hopkinsville Rotary Club, and currently serves on the board of Hopkinsville Young Professionals Engage.

Stagner is a lifelong resident of Christian County, and currently serves as an engineer/paramedic within the Hopkinsville Fire Department. A 16-year veteran in first response, he’s previously served as a Hopkinsville/Christian County Emergency Communications Center dispatcher. He’s a graduate of Leadership Hopkinsville, serving as its co-coordinator last season, and now serves as a deputy chief of the Christian County Rescue Team — a group he’s called home for 24 years. He also serves as Deputy Director for Christian County Emergency Management.

The 2022-23 campaign will have its official breakfast kick-off on September 22, with pacesetter campaigns beginning in July and August.

Among many of the campaign’s efforts, it’ll be up to Stewart and Stagner — and the United Way board — to create a catchy and successful theme, which last year was “Baking A Difference.” It was an effort that raised more than $725,000.

The United Way of the Pennyrile serves 19 partner agencies in Caldwell, Christian, Todd and Trigg counties, many of which operate in health, education and financial stability.
