COVID-19 cases are on the rise around the area again. The Pennyrile District Health Department has announced 213 total cases of the virus from Friday through Wednesday in its five-county district.
According to the health department’s update, 50 of those cases are in Trigg County.
Officials report 28 total COVID cases in Caldwell County during this time frame, along with 22 cases in Crittenden County, 29 cases in Livingston County, and 84 cases in Lyon County.
As of Monday, the state’s COVID-19 weekly report showed 10,949 new cases across the commonwealth and 1,535 total new cases that are 18 and under.
The current COVID-19 hospital census shows 483 of the state’s cases are hospitalized, 72 are in the intensive care unit, and 28 are on a ventilator.
