Hospital Tax & Sheriff’s Department Questions Occupy Trigg Fiscal Court

Concerns about the additional hospital tax and allegations concerning the Trigg County Sheriff’s Department were discussed during Tuesday’s Trigg Fiscal Court meeting.

During the public comments portion of the meeting Trigg County resident Lisa Champion asked Lawrence and his fellow magistrates if there was any discussion concerning the additional hospital tax that was passed a few years ago.

click to download audioChampion also told fiscal court that is quite a bit of concern in the community about allegations concerning the Trigg County Sheriff’s Department, although she was not specific on the nature of the allegations.

Trigg County District Six Magistrate Larry Lawrence presided over the brief fiscal court meeting in the absence of Judge-Executive Hollis Alexander. Magistrates approved the only items on the agenda; the minutes of the previous meeting and the monthly expenditure report.
