HCC’s GED Graduation Set For Thursday

The annual Hopkinsville Community College GED Ceremony has been slated for 7 o’clock Thursday evening in the HCC Auditorium Building and Thomas L. Riley Lecture Hall.

More than 150 adults from Christian, Caldwell, Todd and Trigg counties are eligible for recognition during this ceremony, which celebrates qualified individuals for receiving the GED credentials.

An award for the test’s “High Scorer” will also be presented.

The ceremony will be streamed live through the school’s Facebook account.

This year’s guest speaker is Holly Perez Knight of the Pennyroyal Center. She is a past GED graduate who later went on to earn a master’s degree in social work from the University of Louisville.

HCC’s Kentucky Office of Adult Education is located in the Technology Center, and provides free instruction to individuals preparing for the GED and its high school equivalency diploma. For information regarding this type of preparation, call (270) 707-3925.
