Police Continue To Investigate Hopkinsville Robbery


A man was robbed at a home on Younglove Street in Hopkinsville Monday night.

Hopkinsville Police say several suspects forced their way into a home armed with guns and demanded money before fleeing the area.

Shortly after the robbery Police say they located a vehicle in the area fitting the description given by the victim and stopped the SUV at East 1st Street and South Campbell Street.

The driver 22-year-old Shartavious Burse was found to have a DUI suspended license and her passenger 24-year-old Davontra Burse was found to be a convicted felon. Police say after searching the area two guns were found that fit the description from the robbery in a front yard that appeared to have been tossed from the vehicle.

They were both arrested and charged with tampering with physical evidence. Davontra Burse was also charged with possession of a handgun by a convicted felon and Shartavious Burse was charged with driving on a DUI suspended license.

Police say at this time they are talking with everyone involved but no arrest in the robbery has been made.
