Man Charged After High-Speed Pursuit

A pursuit that started in Todd County ended in Hopkinsville Thursday night.

Todd County Sheriff’s deputies say they joined a pursuit that started on Kentucky 181 with State Police who were chasing a vehicle driven by 39-year-old James Crick of Greenville

Crick was able to turn onto US 68 towards Hopkinsville.
Todd County Sheriff’s Deputy Jonathan Knight attempted to deploy spikes strips but was unable to due to the pursuit’s speed.

The pursuit reportedly came to an end when Hopkinsville Police used spike strips at the intersection of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Way and  Crick lost control hitting a utility pole at Russellville Road and East 7th Street.

Crick was arrested and is lodged in the Christian County Jail on charges of first-degree fleeing or evading police, speeding, reckless driving, DUI, and first-degree wanton endangerment of a police officer.
