Man In Custody After High-Speed Pursuit

A man was charged after a high-speed pursuit that ended in Christian County Wednesday night.

Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say State Police were in pursuit of a vehicle in Trigg County and crossed into Christian County on US 68.

State Police reportedly terminated the pursuit near Eagle Way and Christian County Sheriff’s deputies later located the vehicle on Interstate 24.

The driver reportedly fled again at speeds of over 100 mph on Interstate 24 before turning onto Pennyrile Parkway.

The pursuit ended when spike strips were used at Pennyrile Parkway and Eagle Way. Deputies say the driver got out of the car and fled on foot but was apprehended by Hopkinsville Police.

Law enforcement has not released the driver’s name or a full list of charges at this time.
