Teenager Charged After Hopkinsville Pursuit

A teenager was taken into custody after leading law enforcement on a short pursuit in Hopkinsville Monday morning.

Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say a 16-year-old fled from law enforcement in the area of Fort Campbell Boulevard and Country Club Lane in a stolen vehicle.

The original stop was for a traffic violation and he reportedly fled leading them on a short pursuit before running off the road and into a ditch on East 21st Street.

Deputies say the teenager had an ankle monitor on during the pursuit and the vehicle he was driving was stolen out of Tennessee from the teenager’s caseworker.

He was taken into custody and charged with first-degree fleeing or evading police, receiving stolen property, and several traffic violations.
