Police have released the name of a man that was injured in a wreck on South Main Street at the intersection of West 14th Street in Hopkinsville Friday afternoon.
Hopkinsville Police say an SUV driven by 68-year-old Margaret Fields of Hopkinsville was on West 14th Street when it collided with a car driven by 18-year-old Ashley Shelton of Hopkinsville that was on South Main Street.
The crash caused Shelton’s car to hit a light pole and come to rest on the sidewalk.
A passenger in Shelton’s car 18-year-old Lamon Thornton of Hopkinsville was taken by ambulance to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for injuries.
The crash happened just before 3 pm.
