55th Annual Cadiz Rotary Auction Breakfast Approaches

Set for 6:30 Monday morning, April 11, at the Lake Barkley State Resort Park Convention Center, the 55th Annual Cadiz Rotary Auction Kick-Off Breakfast is now just a quick three weeks away.

Earlier this week, Co-Chairs Sharon Butts and KaDonna Woodall revealed new details about the festivities ahead for the meal — which typically opens the ever-popular bidding bonanza that helps promote and support the youth and senior citizens of Trigg County.

Woodall notes that three specific items will be auctioned off at the breakfast — jumpstarting fundraising efforts.

At past breakfasts, guest speakers would appropriately fill the time — but Butts says things will be a little different this time.

Woodall said those wishing to donate items for the auction, which also gets presented online at the WKDZ “Big Deals” Store, can be dropped off at either the Cadiz Tourism office or the WKDZ/WHVO station across the street.

Butts said Rotary District Governor Gail Story will be in attendance for the breakfast, as well.

An eight-top table costs an organization $300, with individual tickets on sale for $50. A full breakfast buffet will be offered, with the program set to be at 7 a.m.

Those interested in tickets for the breakfast can contact a known Rotarian or stop by the Cadiz Tourism office for reservations.

Butts added 23 tables have already been procured, bringing early proceeds for the auction and its efforts close to $7,000.
