Man Charged After Fleeing From Fort Campbell Boulevard Crash

A man was charged after leading Christian County Sheriff’s deputies on a pursuit after hitting a vehicle on Fort Campbell Boulevard in Hopkinsville Sunday night.

Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say 36-year-old Jonathan Smith struck a vehicle on Fort Campbell Boulevard in the area of Love’s then drove off. He was located on Lafayette Road and led deputies on a short pursuit before pulling into the Huck’s parking lot.

The driver of the vehicle Smith struck, Dalton Sibley, was taken by ambulance to Tennova Healthcare in Clarksville for his injuries. Sibley is a volunteer firefighter in Christian County.

Smith was arrested and charged with first-degree fleeing or evading police, speeding, resisting arrest, and leaving the scene of an accident.
