Name Released In Hopkinsville shooting

Police have released the name of a Fort Campbell soldier who was shot during a road rage incident that is believed to have happened in the Hopkinsville area Sunday night.

Hopkinsville Police say they were first alerted of the incident when 28-year-old Curtis Wade Jr. entered Jennie Stuart Medical Center with a gunshot wound to the leg just before 10 pm.

Wade reportedly told police he was shot when he and his friend got out of their vehicle and got into a physical altercation with someone after a road rage incident.

Police say Wade is unable to give them a location of where the shooting happened but believes it happened in the Hopkinsville area.
