Woman Injured In Hopkinsville Crash

Police have released the name of a Hopkinsville woman injured in a wreck on Walnut Street in Hopkinsville Wednesday afternoon.

Hopkinsville Police say an SUV driven by 35-year-old Monica Kendrick was southbound on Walnut Street approaching the intersection of Fort Campbell Boulevard when it was struck by a northbound car driven by 37-year-old Montrel Kelly of Hopkinsville.

Kendrick was taken by ambulance to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for injuries.

Kelly had reportedly fled the area and was later located then charged with leaving the scene of an accident and DUI. The crash happened just after 12 pm.
