Deputies have released more information about a wreck that killed a man and injured a woman on Dawson Springs Road at the intersection of Doug Combs Road in Christian County Thursday night.
Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say a car driven by Hunter Geren was northbound when it ran off the road hitting a trash can and a mailbox before overturning and coming to a rest in a tree line.
A passenger in Geren’s car 19-year-old Dylan Sargent of Christian County was reportedly trapped under the vehicle and died as emergency personnel worked to free him.
Arieawna Zarate who was also a passenger in the vehicle was taken by ambulance to Jennie Stuart Medical Center with injuries from the crash. Geren was not injured in the wreck.
Sargent had just moved to Christian County he is from Asheville, North Carolina
Dawson Springs Road was blocked for several hours as the crash was investigated. The wreck happened just before 10 pm.
