A Hopkinsville man was arrested Wednesday on a warrant in connection to a double homicide that happened on Peach Street August 7th.
Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say 32-year-old Anthony Gaines was arrested and charged with first-degree robbery, first-degree burglary, tampering with physical evidence, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, two counts of murder, and four counts of first-degree wanton endangerment.
Deputies say he is charged in connection to the death of 21-year-old George Gomez and 25-year-old Kiera Wallace who were found dead inside of a home from apparent gunshot wounds on August 7th.
Reports to 9-1-1 indicate a neighbor heard several gunshots shortly before 8 am when the neighbor went to the home to check on the family, a door to the residence was open. The neighbor also reported seeing a person leaving the home in a vehicle.
