A Crofton man was charged after he fled from law enforcement and hit a deputy’s vehicle in Cadiz Wednesday night.
Trigg County Sheriff’s deputies say they received a call of a man jumping through a woman’s window at a home on South Road and while in route they attempted to stop a vehicle fitting the description driven by 28-year-old Hunter Barnett.
Barnett reportedly fled turning onto Lakota Drive and speeding up even traveling through a traffic light that was red on Main Street.
Deputies say he pulled into the parking lot for Main Street Apartments turned his vehicle around facing the deputy and started driving towards him striking his vehicle.
The pursuit reportedly stopped when Barnett pulled into the parking lot of the Minit Mart and struck the support beam then deputies hit his vehicle stopping him.
He was arrested and charged with third-degree criminal mischief, second-degree burglary, first-degree fleeing or evading police, driving too fast for traffic conditions, reckless driving, disregarding a traffic light, and two counts of first-degree wanton endangerment.
