A fire at Main Street Villas on Main Street in Cadiz destroyed a duplex Friday afternoon.
Cadiz Fire Department Chief Thomas Futrell says the fire started in the bottom apartment and smoke filled the top apartment destroying both of them.
Everyone was able to get out uninjured and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
The American Red Cross was contacted to help everyone that was displaced.
Futrell says several citizens also helped in pulling hoses as firefighters were working to contain the fire.
Cadiz Fire Department was assisted by Cadiz Police, Trigg County EMS, and Pennyrile Electric.
