As recovery efforts continue in Dawson Springs, the next steps are beginning to emerge in a community that lost so much.
Katie Moyer, a Christian County resident with a Dawson Springs address, considers the community a second home because of the close proximity to her property.
Moyer told the News Edge recovery efforts have moved into a bigger phase now.
Moyer added additional volunteers are needed to aid in the recovery efforts across the city.
Moyer said Dawson Springs will still need all kinds of supplies as the weeks turn into months in the recovery process.
Donations were previously being taken at Dawson Springs Independent Schools district buildings, but as students return to the classroom on Tuesday, January 18, efforts may be shifted to accommodate them.
