A Hopkinsville man was charged with assaulting his girlfriend on Denzil Drive in Hopkinsville Monday afternoon.
Hopkinsville Police say 38-year-old Kelvin Charles shoved his pregnant girlfriend against the wall and the stairs multiple times before wrapping his arms around her neck and choking her.
He was arrested and charged with fourth-degree assault and second-degree strangulation.
