A wreck investigation on Madisonville Road led to drug charges for a Hopkinsville man Saturday night.
Christian County Sheriff’s Deputy Sam Suiter says he was called to the area for a report of a wreck and found blood in the roadway leading him to stop a vehicle in the area.
During the stop, Suiter could reportedly smell the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. Deputies say a passenger in the vehicle 48-year-old William Rush was found to have two glass pipes in his pocket with a burnt residue on them.
After Rush was arrested and transported to jail he was allegedly found to have meth in his sock. He is charged with possession of meth, first-degree promoting contraband, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
