A single-vehicle crash on South McPherson Avenue in Hopkinsville led to DUI charges for the driver Friday afternoon.
Hopkinsville Police say 42-year-old Aurelio Hernandez, of Hopkinsville, hit a utility pole breaking it in half at the intersection of West 1st Street. Police say after a field sobriety test and conversation with officers, he was found to be under the influence of alcohol.
Hernandez was arrested and charged with DUI.
