A Florida man was arrested on a warrant for robbery and stalking in Hopkinsville Tuesday night.
Hopkinsville Police say on November 1st 42-year-old Craig Akers of Middleburg violated an emergency protective order for the second time after getting out of jail.
He reportedly returned to the home and confronted the woman in her driveway, he grabbed her by the throat and pushed her against the car seat slamming her head back against the seat.
Police say Akers threatened to kill the woman and demanded her car keys before taking the vehicle.
This is the second time Akers has reportedly violated the emergency protective order and took the victim’s vehicle by threatening to kill her.
He was arrested and charged with violation of a Kentucky emergency protective order, first-degree robbery, first-degree stalking, and violation of conditions of release.
