With Thanksgiving just days away, AAA predicts more than 53.4 million people expected to travel, and that is the highest single-year increase since 2005.
This brings travel volumes within 5% of pre-pandemic levels in 2019, with air travel almost completely recovering from its dramatic fall during the pandemic, up 80% over last year. With so many people expected to travel for the holiday, all eyes are focused on the weather. Greg Meffert, Lead Forecaster for the National Weather Service in Paducah, gives some insight on what to expect in our region.
