A man accused of killing a Clarksville teen and dumping his body on the side of a road in Oak Grove over five years ago appeared in Christian County Circuit Court Thursday afternoon to enter into a plea agreement.
Leonardo Miller is charged with murder, first-degree robbery, and tampering with physical evidence from a July 20, 2016 incident where Miller and Deqavion James are accused of fatally shooting 19-year old DeAndre Palmer. The men then reportedly hid Palmer’s body in a closet before eventually dumping his body on the side of Carter Road near Ghost Bridge.
Miller and his defense attorney appeared before Chief Circuit Judge John Atkins as Commonwealth’s Attorney Rick Boling read the plea agreement into the court’s record.

click to download audioJudge Atkins then accepted the Miller’s guilty plea and he was escorted back to the Christian County Jail until he is formally sentenced at 8:30 on the morning of January 12th.
The co-defendent in this case, Deqavion James accepted a plea agreement in June in which he pled guilty to an amended charge of first-degree manslaughter with a recommended sentence of 20-years, first-degree robbery with a 10-year sentence and tampering with physical evidence for a 5-year sentence, all to run consecutive for a total of 30-years. He will also have to serve 20-years before he is eligible for parole. James is scheduled to back in Christian Circuit Court on December 1st for formal sentencing.
