Three Severely Injured When Car Crashes Into Tobacco Wagon

A wreck on Kentucky 181 at Frogue Road in Todd County sent three people to a Nashville hospital Tuesday night.

Todd County Sheriff’s deputies say a car driven by 48-year-old Curtis Ray of Hendersonville, Tennessee, was southbound when it hit the back of a tobacco trailer pushing Ray’s vehicle underneath the trailer. The tobacco trailer was being held by a truck driven by Gary Sawyer of Guthrie.

Ray and his passengers 54-year-old Sean Thomas and 16-year-old Christian Robbins both of Guthrie were flown to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville with what deputies say are severe injuries.

After the crash deputies say a jar of marijuana was located in the vehicle.

The crash happened just before 7 pm
