A good samaritan saves a man from a burning home on Canton Street in Hopkinsville Monday morning.
Hopkinsville Firefighters say smoke and flames were coming from the back of the home located at 1523 Canton Street when they arrived.
Hopkinsville Police say before firefighters arrived Trey Kranz who was painting the home smelled smoke and was able to pull a man from the basement that was filling with smoke.
Kranz reportedly kicked a window out to get him and the man out. The man was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation.
The cause of the fire was unknown.
