Christian County Health Officials Announce 119th COVID Death

The Christian County Health Department announced its 119th COVID-19 related death Monday afternoon — a 34-year-old Caucasian female with no underlying conditions.

The individual was reportedly unvaccinated.

The health department has reported 11 deaths this month, with some of those the result of an audit of the reporting system between the health department and the state

Health department officials are continuing to strongly encourage individuals in Christian County to consider getting a COVID-19 vaccine, which remain readily available at the health department on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:45 a.m. through 4:15 p.m.

Walk-ins are welcome, and free drive-thru COVID-19 testing is available Monday-Thursday from 7:45 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.

Appointments are unnecessary at this time.
