Hopkinsville Man Charged With Meth Possession

A Hopkinsville man was allegedly found with meth during a warrant arrest on Rose Drive in Hopkinsville Thursday night.

Hopkinsville Police say 52-year-old Robert Sanders was found to have meth in his pocket as he was being arrested on warrants for probation violation. After being transported to the jail, police say Sanders was found to have more meth in his hat that he was trying to take into the jail.
Sanders was also found to be non-compliant with the sex offender registry. He is charged with possession of meth second offense, failure to comply with sex offender registry second offense, and second-degree promoting contraband.
