Dawson Springs Woman Charged With Leaving Child In Hot Vehicle

A Dawson Springs woman was charged after authorities say a child was found in a hot vehicle on South Virginia Street in Hopkinsville Thursday night.

Hopkinsville Police say 32-year-old Bailey Whitman left a small child with no clothing on inside of a hot vehicle while she checked on her brother for about 20 to 30 minutes. She told police she was checking on the child through the window but police say the window tint was too dark to be able to properly see the child.

She is charged with endangering the welfare of a minor.
