Trigg Hospital Taking Booster Shot Appointments For Immunocompromised Conditions

Trigg County Hospital will begin taking scheduled appointments to administer the COVID-19 booster shot for those with immunocompromised conditions.

Hospital officials say those conditions include:

– Active treatment for solid tumor and hematologic malignancies

– Receipt of solid-organ transplant and taking immunosuppressive therapy

– Receipt of CAR-T-cell or hematopoietic stem cell transplant (within 2 years of transplantation or taking immunosuppression therapy)

– Moderate or severe primary immunodeficiency (DiGeorge, Wiskott-Aldrich syndromes)

– Advanced or untreated HIV infection

– Active treatment with high-dose corticosteroids, alkylating agents, antimetabolites, transplant-related immunosuppressive drugs, cancer chemotherapeutic against classified as severely immunosuppressive, TNF blockers, and other biologic agents that are immunosuppressive or immunomodulatory.

The hospital will begin scheduling appointments at 8:00 Monday morning, August 23. The vaccine date is Wednesday morning, August 25, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 am at the Trigg County Complex Lexie Bush Convention Center, located at 303 Complex Road in Cadiz.
