Hopkinsville Couple Charged With Drug Possession

A Hopkinsville man and woman were charged with possession of drugs after an investigation into a possible forged check in Princeton Wednesday afternoon.

Princeton Assistant Chief Of Police Shane Allison says they were called to Farmers Bank on West Washington Street for someone trying to use a forged check.

Police conducted a traffic stop on 25-year-old Kaylob Meeks and 18-year-old Autumn Epperson on North Jefferson Street and reportedly found Meeks to be driving on a suspended license and to have an open container of bourbon in view.

Police say they found meth, marijuana, digital scales, and other drug paraphernalia in the vehicle.

Meeks was arrested and charged with trafficking meth, possession of marijuana, and operating on a suspended or revoked license. Epperson was charged with possession of meth and she was found to have three active warrants for bond and probation violations.

Authorities say they are still investigating the forged check.
