Hopkinsville Man Charged With Getting Stolen Forklift Stuck on Rail Tracks

A Hopkinsville man was arrested early Monday and charged with using a stolen forklift to remove a stuck ATV from the railroad tracks near Metcalfe Lane.

The Hopkinsville Police Department report said 39-year-old Michael Suttle was driving his ATV on the tracks around 7:30 and got it stuck when he avoided a train.

The report said Suttles walked to nearby Rogers and Group and took a forklift without permission to try and free his ATV. He then got the forklift stuck on the tracks, blocking the passage of train traffic.

Suttles was arrested and charged with unauthorized disruption of a railroad track and receiving stolen property over $10,000.
