Christian County Adds 168 COVID Cases Over Past Week

Christian County has added 168 cases of COVID-19 in the past week and now has 266 active cases according to information released Thursday by the health department.

Of the 168 cases, 10 are breakthrough cases or cases where someone has contracted COVID-19 after full vaccination.

169 or 64-percent of the cases involve people between 22 and 59 years of age. 76 cases or 28-percent are under 21. There are no active cases in the 85 and up age group.

Two weeks ago, Christian County had 99 active cases.

The health department has given out over 27,000 vaccines with 353 given in the past month compared to over 700 in June.
