A man was rushed to the hospital after a shooting on Sharpe Street in Hopkinsville Wednesday night.
Hopkinsville Police say they were called to the area for shots fired with a man hit several times just before midnight. The man was taken by ambulance to Jennie Stuart Medical Center where a helicopter then transported him to another hospital. Authorities say the man was hit several times and his injuries are believed to be severe.
Officers blocked off Sharpe Street behind the Dollar General with crime scene tape as they collected evidence in the shooting.
