The Western Kentucky State Fair kicks off Friday evening in Hopkinsville, with several family-friendly activities scheduled this weekend.
Fair Board President Tony Meacham says gates open at 5:00 p.m.
Meacham adds pageants will begin Saturday in the convention center.
Demolition derby events will take place Saturday night with antique tractor pulls Sunday afternoon at the grandstands.
Admission is $3 each at the front gates, with varying admission for grandstand activities. More information can be found here.
