Hopkinsville Woman Charged With DUI In Police Department Parking Lot

A Hopkinsville woman was charged after she was reportedly found driving recklessly through the Hopkinsville Police Department parking lot Wednesday morning.

Hopkinsville Police say 49-year-old Jennifer Ashley was stopped after she was driving recklessly through the secured parking lot at the Hopkinsville Police Department and honking her horn.

She reportedly told police she was being chased by people in different vehicles for the purpose of sex trafficking.

After a search of her vehicle police say meth, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia were found.

She is charged with DUI, possession of meth, failure to maintain required insurance, no registration plate, operating on a suspended or revoked license, and possession of marijuana.
