New Christian County Manufacturer to Create 79 Jobs

The South Western Kentucky Economic Development Council announced Thursday morning that EZ-ACCESS is locating in Christian County.

Executive Director Carter Hendricks says EZ-ACCESS will be starting manufacturing operations in Christian County in late summer, creating 79 jobs and over $5 million in capital investment.

He says this move is an expansion of their existing operations in Washington State, allowing the company to be closer to their locations in Morganfield and Henderson. Additionally, Hendricks says the company will relocate several corporate positions to the new location at 2230 Pembroke Road in Hopkinsville.

Don Everard, President/CEO of EZ-ACCESS says they are excited to be making this investment in Hopkinsville and the South Western Kentucky region. He adds they aren’t just creating 79 jobs and growing the company; they are investing in the community and look forward to becoming an active member and leader of Hopkinsville and the broader South Western Kentucky region.

Hopkinsville Mayor Wendell Lynch and Christian County Judge-Executive Steve Tribble both said they look forward to working with EZ-ACCESS and they are excited the manufacturer has chosen to make this significant investment and create 79 good-paying jobs in our region.

EZ-ACCESS, a division of Homecare Products, Inc., is a national leader in manufacturing ramps and lifts for wheelchair and accessibility solutions for individuals with physical limitations. Officials say it’s a family-owned company founded in 1984 in Washington state.

Hendricks says the SWK EDC staff will be working closely with the company’s leadership to ensure as smooth a transition as possible. Once the facility retrofit is completed, he says a public ribbon cutting will be held to celebrate the company’s operations in the community and region.
