Five Injured In Pennyrile Parkway Rollover Crash

Deputies have released the names of five people from Madisonville that were injured in a wreck on Pennyrile Parkway, three miles north of the Crofton exit Monday afternoon.

Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say a northbound vehicle driven by Sherrie McFarlane ran off the roadway, went through a guardrail, and down an embankment, hitting a tree.

Four people, including children, had to be extricated from the vehicle by the Christian County Rescue Team with one child found under the SUV.

McFarlane and Hunter Lampton were flown from the scene to Nashville a hospital with severe injuries. Hayden Lampton, Jackson Lampton, and Hailey Lampton were taken by ambulance to Baptist Health in Madisonville with injuries to their face and ankles.

McFarlane suffered injuries to her legs and arm along with respiratory issues, Hunter Lampton has injuries to his wrist, arm, upper thighs, ankle, and both femurs. They are both listed in critical condition at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

The crash happened just after 2 pm.
