Kroger Lifting Mask Mandate for Vaccinated Customers, Employees

The Kroger family of stores announced that the mask mandate for fully vaccinated customers and employees would be lifted Thursday.

Company officials said they are following guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and their Chief Medical Officer Dr. Marc Watkins and listened to feedback from associates and customers to guide policies.

Starting Thursday, fully vaccinated customers and most fully vaccinated associates will no longer need to wear a mask in stores unless otherwise required by state or local rules. Meanwhile, non-vaccinated associates will be required to wear a mask, and non-vaccinated customers will be asked to wear one.

Officials added Kroger would continue to implement enhanced cleaning and physical distancing across all
facilities and offer associates a $100 one-time payment for receiving the recommended doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.

Kroger is also distributing COVID vaccines at their Hopkinsville, Madisonville, and Clarksville, Tennessee locations. You can schedule appointments by clicking here.
