B-25 Bomber Could Make An Appearance in Hopkinsville

There is a chance a B-25 Bomber from World War II could visit Hopkinsville if enough support is gathered.

Lela Hale, a board member of Honor Flight Bluegrass, tells the News Edge the B-25 Mitchell was in Hopkinsville around three years ago. She adds they need five confirmed World War II veterans before the plane lands in Christian County.

The plane tours the country courtesy of the Commemorative Air Force, Missouri Wing.

On pause for now due to COVID-19, the Honor Flight Program allows World War II, Korean War, and Vietnam War veterans a chance to see the memorial in Washington, D.C.

For more information, call Hale at (270) 890-0674.
