Inmates at the Christian County Jail will start receiving a COVID-19 vaccine next week.
Jailer Brad Boyd told magistrates Tuesday the Christian County Health Department would begin distributing vaccines Wednesday, May 5. He added of the nearly 650 inmates, 150 have signed up to take the vaccine.
Judge-executive Steve Tribble urged everyone who qualifies to get one to get a vaccine.
The Christian County Health Department is still distributing vaccines at the James E. Bruce Convention Center. Appointments can be made by visiting their website.
