The Christian County Grand Jury returned several indictments Friday including for assault, rape and sodomy.
Shequita Buckner, of Hopkinsville, was indicted for first-degree assault in connection to a March shooting on Kenwood Drive where police reported she shot 36-year old Kimberly Harrell in the arm. Harrell was flown to Skyline Medical Center for treatment.
The grand jury indicted Daniel Coombs, of Wyoming, on charges of first-degree rape of a victim under 12 years old and first-degree sodomy of a victim under 12. The alleged rape and sodomy of the minor reportedly occurred between July 2019 and September 2020.
And Lawson Terrell Ramsey was indicted for first-degree sexual abuse – victim under 12 years of age. According to the indictment, between November 1, 2018 and November 15, 2019 Ramsey allegedly pleasured himself on numerous occasions in the presence of a female minor.
