The Trigg County Senior Citizens Center hopes they will reopen in-person traffic sometime this summer after state COVID-19 restrictions are lifted.
Center Director Cissy Lawrence tells the News Edge they know the pandemic has been a tough time for older residents.
When they do have the opportunity to reopen, Lawrence added they would host a celebration with the Trigg County Chamber of Commerce.
As we head toward May, also known as Older Americans Month, the center hopes to be able to do some more nice things for the seniors they serve meals to each weekday.
The center is still offering meals through the COVID-19 emergency program. If you need meals every weekday, you can call to be put on the list.
