Kentucky Reports Over 500 New COVID-19 Cases Saturday

Governor Andy Beshear announced 505 new coronavirus cases Saturday in the commonwealth and a positivity rate of 2.99 percent.

The governor also reported ten new deaths. Eight of those are from the state’s ongoing audit. A total of 6,241 deaths in Kentucky have been linked to the virus since the pandemic began over a year ago.

Currently, 370 cases are in the hospital, 92 are in ICU, and 48 are on a ventilator.

Governor Beshear also announced 1.5 million Kentuckians have been vaccinated.
