Unemployment numbers across Trigg, Christian, and Todd counties have returned to pre-pandemic levels as the economy continues to reopen.
South Western Kentucky EDC Executive Director Carter Hendricks tells the News Edge the regional unemployment average is around five percent.
Hendricks adds the regional labor force participation rate is around 54-percent.
He says there is a steady pipeline of talent across the region as there are 200 colleges and universities within a 200-mile radius of the three-county region.
Hendricks says several places are hiring across the three-county region.
He adds several industries have Facebook and other social media pages where they often post job opportunities.
