Rocky Ridge Road Reopened After Chicken Truck Crash

Kentucky 276 reopened Saturday afternoon after being closed most of the day following a truck crash near International Drive.

Kentucky Transportation Cabinet spokesman Keith Todd says the road reopened around 4:30 after cleanup crews worked most of the day to remove the wreckage. The semi overturned around 8:00 which resulted in the load being spilled. Frozen chicken was spilled on the roadway and in the ditch when the truck overturned.

The driver of the truck was not injured.

The crash occurred after the Westbound lanes of Interstate 24 were closed early Saturday morning following a tractor trailer fire just east of the Kentucky 139 Princeton Road exit.
