Kentucky Restaurant Curfews To Extend Friday

Governor Andy Beshear announced a change in bar and restaurant curfews, which will extend their hours beginning Friday.

During his COVID-19 conference Thursday afternoon, Beshear said the curfew will now be midnight.

The changes come as the state continues to see a decline in the testing positivity rate, and more people are getting vaccines.

Beshear announced 785 new COVID-19 cases Thursday, along with 31 new deaths, although the state is facing a backlog of death reports from November to the end of January.

The testing positivity rate now sits at 3.23-percent, which is the lowest since July.

Governor Beshear also announced that beginning Monday; they ask vaccine providers to expand phase 1C to include individuals who are 50 years of age and older.
