Pendleton Stepping Down As Christian County Chamber President

Christian County Chamber of Commerce President/CEO Kelli Pendleton has announced her resignation.

Officials said Pendleton, who has worked with the Chamber for nearly 6 years, will take on a new role as the Executive Director of the Campbell Strong Defense Alliance.

Pendleton said that she had valued her time and experience at the Chamber. She added she is most proud of the legislation that she worked hard to get passed, such as the I-169 Interstate Designation for the Pennyrile Parkway and support for tourism efforts to include the distilleries, horse racing, and gaming, and broadband expansion. As chamber president, Pendleton ensured the Chamber remained a 5-Star Accredited Chamber and guided the process for a ten-year Community Vision Plan released last year. Her last day at the Chamber will be Friday, March 26.

Pendleton said the Chamber’s Executive Committee would meet this week to discuss the next steps in finding her replacement.

The Campbell Strong Defense Alliance is a 501(c)(6) nonprofit organization founded in 2018 with a mission to provide a dedicated, unified voice on military matters to the region and pursue economic development opportunities within the defense sector.
