Crofton Man And Two Children Hurt In Madisonville Wreck

Four people, including a Crofton man and two children, were taken to the hospital for possible injuries after a three-vehicle wreck in Madisonville Friday afternoon.

Madisonville police report 37-year old Thomas Basham, of Crofton, was traveling north on Island Ford Road when a vehicle driven by 92-year old Mary Loehr, of Slaughters, attempted to make a left turn onto Chelsa Drive and failed to yield the right of way. Police say the front bumper of Basham’s car hit the front passenger side bumper of Loehr’s vehicle. The impact reportedly caused Loehr’s passenger side door to hit the front bumper of a vehicle, driven by 35-year old Jennifer Morris, of Madisonville, who was stopped at the stop sign on Chelsa Drive.

According to police, Basham and his two passengers, an 8-year old boy and a 6-year old girl, and Loehr were transported by ambulance to the emergency room at Baptist Health to be evaluated for possible injuries.

The Madisonville Fire Department also assisted at the scene.
