A Trigg County woman who was wanted for questioning in connection to the murder of Thelma “Illene” Barnett has been indicted and officially charged in connection to the crime.
Keisha Stewart was indicted by the Trigg County Grand Jury Wednesday. Commonwealth’s Attorney Carrie Ovey-Wiggins told the News Edge the charges are related to her alleged connection to the September 16 murder on Will Jackson Road.
Ovey-Wiggins added Stewart would be arraigned in Trigg County Circuit Court in April.
The full details of the indictment have not been released. Stewart was wanted for questioning by Kentucky State Police concerning the crime and was arrested on a warrant for an unrelated theft of a motor vehicle charge on December 4.
